The peony, the absolute romanticism
There is a Mediterranean legend of a beautiful nymph named Paeonia, who was so courted by the gods that a jealous goddess transformed her into a flower with a thousand of petals: a peony.
Since then, this symbol of beauty brightens every spring with its radiant show of colors and scent.
As voluminous as rounded, bright or vidid, this flower naturally comes in a herbaceous or shrubby form. Associated with feminine beauty and love, peony is the absolute romanticism of our days.
In the world of perfumer, the peony is considered one of the most famous flowers. Its scent slightly similar to rose, is used to sublime feminine and floral fragrances thanks to its rosy notes, its green or fruity facets and its soft and airy touches.
Impossibly used in its natural state, peonies are therefore imagined and reproduced artificially by a perfumer in the laboratory.
Today, many fragrances with peony scents can be enumerated.
Among the most famous, we have: the renowned Alaïa Paris by Azzedine Alaïa, Amethyst of Lalique, Amor Amor Forbidden Kiss of Cacharel or Angel or Givenchy's Demon.
The opinion of the expert:
