Fragrance finds its place in music. Indeed, the vocabulary of music is used to evoke the world of scent.
In addition to being linked by words, these two art forms are both sources of powerful emotions. They are two worlds that transport us and take us on a journey.
“Notes,” “chords,” “composition,” and even “perfume organ”—these words, used daily by perfumers, remind us of the vocabulary employed by musicians.
A complete sensory experience
Music and perfume complement each other. Perfume evokes emotions, while music amplifies them.
You’ve probably noticed that some brands combine these two disciplines to offer customers a complete sensory experience.
Furthermore, some perfumers use music to find inspiration and fuel their creativity, such as Kilian Hennessy and his “Les Parfums de Musique” collection, or Frédéric Malle. The latter collaborated with musicians to create his “Portrait of a Lady” collection, designed to evoke specific emotions.
If we look at other fields, we can see that perfume can be linked to painting, dance, and even the audiovisual arts.
The exhibition “Tricophilia” by Charlie Le Mindu
In February, Studio des Parfums had the privilege of creating several fragrances in conjunction with the “Tricophilia” exhibition, curated by Charlie Le Mindu.
Each fragrance was designed to evoke a message and capture the essence of each wig. Moreover, fragrance is an excellent way to create lasting memories. As a result, visitors could recall each wig on display.
At Studio des Parfums, create your own custom fragrance and enjoy a unique experience in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. Background music will accompany your olfactory workshop to help you break free from the limits of your creativity.
Journey through our notes from Grasse and let yourself be swept away by the world of scents.
